Paphiopedilum chamberlainianum

From ligulate (strap shaped) mottled leaves up to 30cm.-(12”) long x 5cm.-(2”) wide an erect 46cm.-(18”) tall scape developes bearing successive flowers over a long period.  Flowers average 10cm.-(4”) across, dorsal sepal is green striped on white background – sometimes a light brownish suffusion is evident.   Spreading petals show greenish and rose tints and numerous small brown spots.   Lip is light green occasionally suffused with light brown and many small red spots.
